June 2007: Still months out from migrating to LA, I took a prelim expedition to the city of angeles to reunite with my bruda Tony Oberstar and scope apartments. Tön Løke was residing w/ underground rapper VerBS on the westside, his comrade and collaborate Alpha was over kickin’ freestyles at their pad. Within a few hours Alph became my first friend in Los Angeles, and reigns as an Ace to this day. Aside being astute and hilarious, he’s also one of the most imaginative musicians I know. To consider his sounds as a breath of fresh air would be reticent . Hyped to have shot this album art along w/ a few singles from his latest LP, Black Tax.
