June 2007: Still months out from migrating to LA, I took a prelim expedition to the city of angeles to reunite with my bruda Tony Oberstar and scope apartments. Tön Løke was residing w/ underground rapper VerBS on the westside, his comrade and collaborate Alpha was over kickin’ freestyles at their pad. Within a few hours Alph became my first friend in Los Angeles, and reigns as an Ace to this day. Aside being astute and hilarious, he’s also one of the most imaginative musicians I know. To consider his sounds as a breath of fresh air would be reticent . Hyped to have shot this album art along w/ a few singles from his latest LP, Black Tax. Portraits: Alonzo Fibonacci
When Alonozo Fibonacci stopped down in SoCal to record their Charcuterie Volume One beat tape, a visual session was mandatory. Hitmania Beats of SF and Solarrio of Berlin set up camp in LA to cook up a saucy batch of instrumentals, flavors far beyond your typical assorted hor dourves. Keep an eye out for Vol. Two while you keep Vol. One in rotation.

Bad Rabbits at The Echo
I first met Bad Rabbits in 2013 on their American Love Summer Tour. Drastic comrade Sahtyre had just been signed to G-Life (sister company to G Pen), and rocked nationwide as their opening act, bringing me along for the California stint. Since then I’ve been fortunate to sit in on a few of their studio sessions and document further sold out shows. After shooting their recent show in Los Angeles, it felt like a good opportunity to feature some highlights across the years.
